Lent 2011 was a fictitious presentation about some of the various people who could have possibly had an indirect part in the crucifixion of Jesus. They were unwilling participants forced to work by the Roman soldiers, each according to their individual talents. As they worked each told of their feelings about the part they were playing and how their thoughts and attitudes changed as they went about their tasks. The basket maker formed the crown of thorns. The blacksmith formed the special nails used to nail Jesus to the cross. The carpenter who fashioned the cross upon which Jesus was nailed. And the stonemason who carved the tomb and the stone to be rolled in front of the opening.
